toelke@icloud.com Boot Oscar III Marina and staff were good and very hard -working for us. That was very commendable. The boat was in a very bad state of care. The difference, Finns, oars, propellers were heavily overgrown with algae. The bathing ladder was also shot, slippery and a level defective. Mold in the oven. The toilets did not transport everything, like them should be outside or to the Blackwasser tank. Just had to be flushed thoroughly beforehand. They only worked badly despite our care. After a week it smelled bad out of the washroom and we had no way to fix the problem. Genoa was patched up several times. Large was heavy and the two reefs were only used with great effort. Without one or two people on the mast, it was not possible. At the tax stand there was no plotter in front of many bays and ports, shallows and coral reefs that need to be observed. Not always easy without plotter. The list could always go on like this. Finally, the dinghy. It was in a disastrous state. What was healing about the boat? The suspension on the David, nothing else, oh the air kept it. Overall not very dissatisfied again. Skipper Ludger

Do I need sailing or boating license for the bareboat charter?
In most of the regions, like the Caribbean, South-East Asia, Oceania, no special sailing documents are needed for the bareboat charter. The only thing you need to provide is your sailing resume, so that the base manager can see if you are qualified enough to rent Lagoon 46 (4+2cab) Catamaran in Martinique. Once you get the approval, you are good to go.
On the other hand for bareboat charter in Europe and some other countries you have to provide internationally recognized sailing certificates like: IYT Bareboat Skipper, RYA Day Skipper, ASA 104 plus IPC. Ask booking manager for the requirements. Detailed information here: BBC things to know
