Antigua yacht charters

Antigua is a rare gem in the midst of the Leeward Islands. This small but popular island destination is a sailor’s best place to start a trek through the Caribbean’s open waters. With beautiful beaches, a lively islander culture, and several nearby islands and coral reefs to tour, your sailing vacation in Antigua will be a real treat.
Nature, Landscapes, and Nearby Islands
Antigua has a naturally hilly terrain, with many different capes inland, but smooth sandy beaches on the coast. Endemic fauna include a wide variety of lizards, tropical birds and sea life including sea turtles, barracuda and angelfish, among many others. Animals thrive here because of the dense forests, access to rivers and cover under the rocky cliffs, and the extensive rainy seasons that bring sources of food and water year round.
Several offshore, uninhabited islands shield northern Antigua from strong winds and currents. Montserrat, St. Kitts, and Barbuda surround the island, and can be reached within a day or two sailing trip. Guadeloupe and St. Anne sit directly south of Antigua, and provide a bustling culture and nightlife that many sailors enjoy. These islands and coral reefs are perfect for snorkeling, diving, or even a kayak or paddleboard excursion. 12 Knots Yachting Club offers a variety of watersport rentals for your Antigua yacht charter, from kayaks to paddle boards, fishing gear and more.
Sailboat Charters in Antigua

A warm climate and steady trade winds make Antigua a sailor’s dream come true. With an average temperature of 27 degrees year round, and strongest winds reaching 15 – 20 knots in the peak season (November to May), Antigua is perfect for beginners and seasoned sailors. Antigua offers regatta sailing typically from February to April, and 12 Knots sailors are invited to join the races or simply observe with pleasure.
12 Knots offers a variety of yacht charters, from bareboat to crewed yachts and catamaran rentals, all equipped and ready to go for your seafaring adventure. We offer sailing classes for the less experienced, and bareboat charters for those who feel confident sailing in the Caribbean solo. There’s no limit to what you can do on your Antigua sailing vacation. When you choose 12 Knots Yachting Club, you can rest assured you’ll have the experience of a lifetime, with every detail accounted for.
