      The Philippine archipelago is the second largest on the planet. It consists of more than seven thousand islands of different sizes and shapes.       There are two official languages, Filipino and English. Filipino is based on Tagalog, the main dialect of the country that consists of different dialects and even languages, like Spanish. This country was the part of the Spanish empire for almost 350 years that is why Spanish names are very common in this area.
      The best time for yacht charter in Philippines is from beginning of November till the end of April with predictable winds and temperatures range from 80 – 86 F (28 to 30 C). Local summer "Tagin" lasts from March till late May. This is the hottest time of the year in Philippines. In May, comes the southwest monsoon season "habakat" which brings humid weather and strong gusty winds. This season lasts from June till November.

      The Philippines can be divided in three main regions: Northern part - Luzon with capital Manila is located, middle part - The Visayas where the main tourist destinations are and southern part of the country, next to Borneo, is Mindanao Boat rentals can be found in Boracay, Bohol, Palawan or Coron.
