These are the events for young sailors, sailing school graduates who just learn the basics of sailing racing skills. The great advantage of amateur sailing competitions is that you have an opportunity not only to race but, to learn the sailing race basics and rules: find the right starting point, pass buoys, set up spinnaker and to protest. All of this can be done under the supervision of professional race skippers who would help to correct main mistakes and bring you to a new level of racing skills. One of these sailing events can be found in Croatia – Spring Cup Regatta annually held in Split area, first week of May.
