Malaysia is an exotic and interesting country with fantastic  sailing destinations. Travelers are attracted by its mix of culture,  tradition, architecture and natural beauty.  Due to its geographical location, Malaysia represents a mix of  different cultures including Malay, Chinese, Indian, Eurasian and  insular tribes. Located in the southeastern part of Asia, this country  is divided in two by the South China Sea: the Malay Peninsula and nearby  islands, and the northern part of Borneo.

Most of the  year the weather is hot with high humidity, with average annual  temperatures around 80 F (27 C). Malaysia has two monsoon seasons, in  the northeast from November to March, and in the southwest from May to  September. The best time for a sailing vacation in eastern Malaysia is  from May to September, and in the western part of the country, from  November to April.

The main Malaysia yacht charter base is located in Langkawi,  with excellent sailing close to the border of Thailand and waters of the  surrounding islands. Located in the northwest part of Malaysia,  Langkawi boat rentals offer sailors an ideal starting point from which  they can explore local treasures and natural wonders.

The most enjoyable sailing in Langkawi is during the dry season  (November to April). We recommend avoiding other times of the year due  to strong winds and high humidity.

The second yacht charter base is located in Tioman only 30 miles  (48 km) away from the mainland of the Malay Peninsula. This Malaysian  sailing destination offers easy access to the Mersing area islands.  April through October is the best time for sailing in the Tioman waters.  This season offers warm weather, calm waters and sunny skies.
