Day
1
Sorong
Our meeting point is at the Marina Star Café in Sorong Harbour at 7:30am, where we’ll have a coffee or tea and wait for all our guests to arrive.
Once everyone is ready, we’ll then get on our speedboats and board Jelajahi Laut.
While enjoying a fresh juice or coconut, we’ll hold a welcome briefing, followed by a general safety briefing and explanation of the boat, and all crew and guests will introduce themselves, so everyone starts to get to know each other.
You’ll then put your belongings in your cabin, and we’ll set up the diving area, followed by a light lunch and soon after, at around 3pm we’ll head for our check dive outside Waisai harbor, on the slopes of Mioskon Island.
The rest of the afternoon will be spent on the boat where we’ll have plenty of time to really get to know our fellow travellers and enjoy a beautiful sunset, while the captain navigates to the south of the Raja Ampat Marine Park, to Misool.
Day
2
Misool
Start your day early with a freshly brewed coffee or a cup of tea as you prepare for the first dive briefing. While you get ready, our crew ensures everything is perfectly set up in the diving area.
Today, we’ll explore the northern islands of Misool, where the dive sites are nestled within a maze of scattered small islands. Here, you’ll discover stunning walls and slopes, teeming with marine life. Keep an eye out for the elusive Pygmy Seahorses and the majestic Mobula Rays, as they hunt for sardines in the vibrant underwater landscape.
In the afternoon, after enjoying a light snack, we’ll head further south into the heart of the Misool Eco Reserve. We’ll anchor for the night between the sheltered islands of Romeo and Yillet, offering a peaceful end to an exciting day of diving.

The site is particularly popular for its colorful soft corals and the chance to spot species like pygmy seahorses, barracudas, and manta rays.
Day

Puri Pinnacle
This site is known for its impressive pinnacle that rises from the depths and is surrounded by vibrant coral gardens. The currents here can attract a wide variety of marine life, making it a hotspot for sightings of large pelagic species such as manta rays, reef sharks, and schools of barracudas. The pinnacle itself is adorned with colorful soft corals and sponges, creating a stunning underwater landscape.
Day

Tank Rock is known for its striking underwater topography and rich marine biodiversity. The site features large rock formations that rise from the seabed, creating a series of dramatic walls and overhangs covered in vibrant soft corals. Tank Rock is particularly popular for its diverse marine life, including schools of fish, reef sharks, and occasional manta ray sightings.
Day

Nudi Rock
Nudi Rock is named for its shape resembling a nudibranch (or "nudi" for short) when viewed from above. This site offers a rich diversity of small critters, including numerous species of nudibranchs, which the site is famous for. The underwater landscape is adorned with vibrant soft corals, sponges, and sea fans, creating a colorful backdrop for encounters with pygmy seahorses, pipefish, and other reef inhabitants.
Day

Melissa’s Garden
Discover the vast and vibrant Staghorn Coral fields at Melissa’s Garden. Dive into the action as you witness hunting grey reef sharks at My Reef, or explore the pinnacle of Batu Rufus, teeming with Fusiliers, Rainbow Runners, and Barracudas.
In the afternoon, we’ll embark on a short land adventure to climb the stairway to heaven—or more accurately, to the stunning viewpoint of Piaynemo! From here, you’ll be treated to one of the most breathtaking views over the lagoon, where baby blacktip sharks are sometimes seen cruising in the waters below.
As the day winds down, you can choose to relax with a cold beer after the climb or gear up for an exciting night dive. During the evening dive, you might encounter the elusive Walking Shark, along with a variety of fascinating marine life, including Pipefish, Decorator Crabs, Bumblebee Shrimp, and perhaps even a Wunderpus.
Day
9
Dampier straight
Today, we’re back in the Dampier Strait for another round of exhilarating dives at Cape Kri, Sardine Reef, and Mike’s Point. These dive sites are renowned for their vibrant coral gardens, often so teeming with fish that it can be challenging to spot your dive buddies! We’ll be on the lookout for strong currents as we position ourselves at the split—where the current divides over the reef—and settle in to watch the thrilling spectacle of fish hunting for prey.
In the afternoon, after shedding our wetsuits and enjoying a quick snack, we’ll take a short speedboat ride to the island where it all began, Mioskon. Here, we’ll unwind with some cold beers and savor a beach barbecue prepared by our talented chef, making it the perfect end to an action-packed day.
Day
10
Mioskon
Healthy breakfast, after which we will dive either Blue Magic to look for some more Oceanic Manta Rays and Grey Reef Sharks, or the reef of LauLau with its pinnacle.
After the dive it’s time to wash all the gear, pack up, have a tasty lunch, and take some group pictures with all our crew before heading back to Sorong where we can meet up for dinner and go for some pool and karaoke afterwards.

Customer reviews
How customer reviews and ratings work
We use the Average with Prior (also known as Bayesian Average) to calculate the total rating for each sailing cruise
Since new cruises could have very few reviews, each review can significantly impact the average score, potentially leading to misleading representations of the total score (e.g., one very positive or very negative review skewing the overall rating). To mitigate this, we use a "prior" or "default" score.
This means that each cruise, by default, starts with a rating of 4, which is calculated from 5 hypothetical reviews, each rated 4. This assumption provides a baseline level of performance that is neutral-to-positive.
For example, if a new cruise receives a 5-star review, the total rating will be adjusted to 4.17. Here's how it is calculated: (4 × 5) + 5 = 25 and then divided by the total number of reviews 6 (5 default + 1 actual review), resulting in 4.17
As more reviews come in, the weight of the actual reviews increases, and the influence of the prior diminishes.
