Sailing tour introduction

Explore the hidden treasures of renowned destinations such as Capri, Ischia, Positano, Amalfi, and Procida by boat. The Amalfi Coast, a UNESCO World Heritage Site celebrated for its breathtaking beauty and unique natural landscape, combines majestic mountains with the azure sea.

Day 1 Amalfi

Amalfi

After a smooth check-in in Marina d'Arechi, we will promptly set up sails to ensure an early start to your vacation. By evening, we'll reach Amalfi, where you can visit the Cathedral of S. Andrea with its impressive bronze doors from Constantinople, explore the Cloister of Paradise, and wander through the enchanting labyrinth of narrow streets.

Day 2 Capri

Capri

Following a delightful breakfast onboard, we sail towards the famed Faraglioni of Capri, passing through some of the world's most stunning seascapes. On the way, enjoy views of Furore Fjord, Positano, Praiano, and the protected marine area of Punta Campanella. Arrive in Capri in the afternoon and experience the allure of this "living room of the world," with options to mingle at the famous Piazzetta, explore Roman ruins in Anacapri, or indulge in Capri's nightlife.

Day 3 Ischia

Ischia

After a refreshing swim near the Faraglioni rocks, we head to Ischia, the largest island in the Gulf of Naples. Anchor at Ischia Ponte beneath the imposing Aragonese Castle. Spend the evening exploring the bustling streets lined with shops and dining at one of the island's many restaurants.

Day 4 Borgo S. Angelo

Borgo S. Angelo

Short passage to Maronti Beach, known for its thermal waters. Anchor for the lunch and then disembark at Borgo S. Angelo, the picturesque heart of Ischia.

Day 5 Procida

Procida

After breakfast we will set up sails to Procida, the colorful gem of the Amalfi Sea. Visit Marina di Corricella with its pastel-colored houses, made famous by the movie "Il Postino" starring Massimo Troisi.

Day 6 Positano

Positano

Positano is a picturesque village nestled along the Amalfi Coast in southern Italy, renowned for its breathtaking beauty and charming architecture. Perched on steep cliffs overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, Positano is famous for its colorful buildings cascading down the hillside, creating a stunning backdrop against the azure waters. Explore the village, savor its scents, and enjoy an aperitif while waiting for the mesmerizing sunset.

Day 7 Marina d'Arechi

Marina d'Arechi

Learn sailing skills as we navigate back, trying your hand at the helm and maneuvering the sails. Consider a final swim stop at Conca dei Marini or Cetara before returning to our base Marina d'Arechi for our last night onboard.

How customer reviews and ratings work

We use the Average with Prior (also known as Bayesian Average) to calculate the total rating for each sailing cruise

Since new cruises could have very few reviews, each review can significantly impact the average score, potentially leading to misleading representations of the total score (e.g., one very positive or very negative review skewing the overall rating). To mitigate this, we use a "prior" or "default" score.

This means that each cruise, by default, starts with a rating of 4, which is calculated from 5 hypothetical reviews, each rated 4. This assumption provides a baseline level of performance that is neutral-to-positive.

For example, if a new cruise receives a 5-star review, the total rating will be adjusted to 4.17. Here's how it is calculated: (4 × 5) + 5 = 25 and then divided by the total number of reviews 6 (5 default + 1 actual review), resulting in 4.17

As more reviews come in, the weight of the actual reviews increases, and the influence of the prior diminishes.
