Bareboat

For bareboat charter in Greece, a valid sailing license is required: IPC (International Proficiency Certificate) issued by ASA, US Sailing, NauticEd, RYA, IYT, or another certified school. Upon reservation of Excess 11 Catamaran, please upload your sailing certificate to your personal account for verification.

Security Deposit

A damage deposit of $3,495 must be paid on site at Skiathos before embarkation. The deposit will be refunded at the end of the charter, provided there is no damage to the boat.
The damage deposit represents your maximum liability in case of any damage to the Catamaran Excess 11, Okiroi.
Your maximum liability, can be reduced to $0 by purchasing additional insurance (damage waiver) for $466 per charter.

Payment & Cancellation

No payment is required until the booking agreement is signed.

Payment terms:

Down payment: 50%
Balance: due 35 days before departure
Extras: payable in advance, at least 35 days before the charter

Cancellation policy:

50% of the charter fee is retained for cancellations made 36 days before departure
100% of the total charter fee is non-refundable for cancellations made 35 days or less prior to the charter

“Sun Odyssey 36”

We rented Sun Odyssey 36 Candy, in Greece April this year. The charter was excellent. The people from the charter company were so nice and helpful. It was a real pleasure dealing with them. I would strongly recommend them anytime. And the boat was up to the expectation. Perfect state and very well equipped. So overall we had an awesome holiday.

“Bareboat charter in Greece with yacht provide by istion”

We chartered a Hanse 458 from istion for a week sailing in Greece. The services of istion where fantastic, very customer oriented and friendly. The Hanse yacht was well maintained. Two minor points where observed: the bimini of the sailing yacht made it impossible to view and check the main sail while sailing, which is essential to ensure the sails are properly set. Second item is the first aid box. This contained the bare minimu which would be adequate for a household where medical aid can be easily received; for a sailing yacht this first aid box is not adequate when accidents happen and one is not close to shore and a port where medical assistance can be obtained this proved to be the case where a crew member, while fixing a mooring line on shore, fell between rocks and had significant cuts caused by sharp rocks. My experience is that for sailing yachts chartered in Malta, Maltese authorities require a much better outfitted first aid box to be on board. My advice to istion is to review the adequacy of the first aid box on board of their yachts
