Our houseboat vacation Koika Marina Buchholz July 2025.
When we took over, we found 6 defects. The bow thrusters did not work. The television did not work. There was no barbecue. Both bathing ladders were not usable. The heating had an error code and the sauna didn't work either. All the faults were not rectified during the week, even though we were back in the harbor every day! Then we stupidly tore off the camping plug. This fell into the water... We were charged 150€ for this. A completely new 25m cable costs 50€.... One more thing. If you need internet, you shouldn't stay here. The marina is in a dead zone and the hotspot doesn't work in row 3 either. So all in all only one star 🌟 from us! R. Krämling

Mara 1
“Hands off Marina Buchholz”
We rented the Mara 1 for 2 weeks. According to the offer from Marina Buchholz, it was equipped with rattan furniture and a nice lounge set on the upper deck, outdoor shower,...
In fact, our boat had only plastic furniture, no outdoor shower, no instruments, .... was not the boat according to the pictures of the offer that we got from Marina Buchholz. What was even worse was that we got a boat with damage. The rusted welding seams on the front splash plate (boat one year old) had come loose, so that the plate was about 1.5 meters into the water and the boat could hardly be steered. It was only with great difficulty that we were able to pass the first bridge and then called at Marina Rechlin. We reported the damage to Marina Buchholz and were told to send pictures. In response, we were told that the boatyard thought it was safe and we should continue as before! With a boat that could hardly be steered! Only after we demanded a technician with great insistence was one sent to us in the evening, who dismantled the sheet metal and sank it in Rechlin harbor. But that wasn't the only thing to complain about. When you pay a high price, it is very strange if you are only concerned about collecting the deposit immediately on arrival. No welcome and not a friendly word. A quick briefing and that's it. After asking where our second anchor was, one was quickly removed from another boat. You could also expect the beds to be made up and not be handed a Jysk bag with bed linen (sheets so thin you could see through them) and towels. Everyone is charged an expensive final clean and we were given a boat with cobwebs and dog hair everywhere. The sliding door and the rear door only stayed open if you had fastened them with straps (you should be able to hear yourself when locking) and if you had to move the railing (necessary on some bridges) you would look in vain for tools. The pictures of the boat clearly showed a Garmin, we didn't have a single instrument! Nevertheless, we made the most of our vacation. The area is beautiful, but the infrastructure is in its infancy, which we thought was a shame. It is also very difficult to get petrol in the ports, the few petrol stations usually only sell diesel. We took a cab to the filling station twice to fill our canisters. The absolute highlight of our trip was returning the boat. We were supposed to hand over the boat at 8 a.m. on the day of departure, but unfortunately there was no one there from Marina Buchholz. After 9 a.m., a young woman finally arrived, entered our boat without greeting us and immediately noticed damage to the front right. We were able to prove to her from our photos that it was already there. She walked around the boat like a staff officer. You felt like a criminal. You really got the impression that Marina Buchholz was only after the deposit. No damage was found and we got our deposit back. Not even a friendly word in the office or a question about how the vacation was or whether everything went well. You can spare yourself people like that! We had also met other guests at Marina Buchholz who almost all had the same problems and most of them did not get their deposit back. We never received a reply to our email to Marina Buchholz asking for an answer and statement regarding the wrong boat and various defects!

“Great houseboat vacation on the Dorie”
The ROHRY boat "Dorie" explained friendly and professional staff and given us valuable information. The boat was almost new and was greatly equipped with all the things you need for a cozy houseboat (including espresso maker). We can recommend the boat and marina.

“Only interested in fast money, no service, no morale, a shame around the beautiful place.”
Anyone who books a vacation here is how to listen to the next year without a boat on site or in front of other inconvenience or have to sue their money. The marina chartered the boats with the guests, but they do not belong, but all of them, but all of foreign owners or investors and these migrate on a large scale, since agreements are not met by the new owner or who canceled them illegally to "obtain" more money ... Marina was sold at the beginning of the year to a craftsman without any skills in the field of business, employee management, customer orientation, unpleasant business partner and boss, is no longer taken seriously. This runs through the jetty all day and unfortunately does not take care of anything that would be important for customers, partners, employees, and after a short time failed too much and did not invest anything and the most important partners browned around the rudder. The reviews in others or the employee portals seem in many ways: no plan, no concept, no decency, no rules. Too bad about the idyllic place, albeit without infrastructure. One can only hope that there will soon be a new buyer who can "marina" - due to the many years of complaints there, it seems unlikely.

“Adventure week”
Very nice and competent marina staff, a really good briefing in all boat matters. The instructions regarding the charter license were really great, you immediately felt well prepared for this adventure.
It was a wonderful week on the boot Juno to recommend completely inexperienced newcomers at any time.
We were 4 very big girls with little idea of anchors, locks, signal etc. and (almost;))) mastered everything.
We will be happy to think back on that for a long time.
