per weekWe had a fantastic week sailing one of the new 2022 Bavaria 42 cruisers. This was the best boat that we have hired in many years, with the best feature being an anchor that worked like a dream. The boat sailed superbly during a windy week (up to 40 knots of the Meltemi wind). We spotted a couple of teething issues with the boat, which HDM made notes on and the owner of the boat even stopped by at the end to install a new navigation panel. The check-in and check-out process was very smooth, the HDM staff were all very friendly and supportive. We hope to back again next year.
We had Beneteau Oceanis 37. The general condition of the boat was not bad. During check-in they do not show things that do not work. Skipper has to sign a document that the boat is in perfect condition. Upon check-out they try to overcharge for broken parts. The check-out lasted around three hours. I made a research by contacting a few sail-makers based in Attiki and adding a new webbing to the head grommet costs around 20 euro. They instead asked for 150 euro. They did not issue a vat receipt.
