The Meltemi wind, which starts in the afternoon and lasts until sundown, comes strongly from the North-Northwest, rarely exceeding 24 knots. South winds are generally stronger at the beginning and end of the season. We suggest the following for the best sailing day program: enjoy the morning in a calm bay, weigh anchor at noon, and sail to the next spot with the Meltemi wind in the afternoon. The wind will slow down in the late afternoon, giving you a chance to anchor in a beautiful bay and enjoy the amazing nature at sundown.
