Sailing tour introduction
From Hurghada, set sail on a Red Sea dive safari visiting iconic reefs and wrecks. Highlights include Gota Abu Ramada, the remote Brother Islands, the Salem Express wreck, Abu Nuhas with its cluster of sunken ships, and Ras Mohamed National Park. This itinerary offers a mix of vibrant coral gardens, thrilling drift dives, and some of the world’s most famous wrecks, all starting and ending in Hurghada.

Day 1 Hurghada

Arrival in Hurghada or Marsa Alam and transfer to the boat. Check-in, dinner, and the first night is spent in the harbor.

Day 2 Gota Abu Ramada

Morning departure. Briefing on the boat: dive, safety, and equipment orientation. Two dives at Gota Abu Ramada. Night dive at Gota Abu Ramada

Day 3 Brother Islands

Dives at: Big Brother Numidia Wreck Small Brother

Day 4 Salem Express Wreck

Dives at: Salem Express Wreck Panorama Reef Small Giftun Island Night dive at Small Giftun Island.

Day 5 Abu Nuhas

Dives at: Abu Nuhas – Chrisoula K. and Giannis D. Dunraven Night dive at Shaab Mahmoud.

Day 6 Ras Mohamed

Dives at: Ras Mohamed SS Thistlegorm Night dive at Bluff Point / Small Gubal Island.

Day 7 Hurghada

Dives at: Bluff Point Umm Gammar Return to the harbor. Breakfast and check-out by 10:00 AM. Transfer to the airport or hotel. For safety reasons, you should not dive within 24 hours of your return flight.

How customer reviews and ratings work

We use the Average with Prior (also known as Bayesian Average) to calculate the total rating for each sailing cruise

Since new cruises could have very few reviews, each review can significantly impact the average score, potentially leading to misleading representations of the total score (e.g., one very positive or very negative review skewing the overall rating). To mitigate this, we use a "prior" or "default" score.

This means that each cruise, by default, starts with a rating of 4, which is calculated from 5 hypothetical reviews, each rated 4. This assumption provides a baseline level of performance that is neutral-to-positive.

For example, if a new cruise receives a 5-star review, the total rating will be adjusted to 4.17. Here's how it is calculated: (4 × 5) + 5 = 25 and then divided by the total number of reviews 6 (5 default + 1 actual review), resulting in 4.17

As more reviews come in, the weight of the actual reviews increases, and the influence of the prior diminishes.
