Hard to believe Voyage is still trying to charter this boat! We just returned from Chartering Endless Summer. Black tank failure at boarding delayed our departure by ½ day. They refused to replace the boat 1st day despite our request. Mold in showers and corroded bathroom fixtures and toilets in the main cabin were not cleaned. Mainsail tore while being raised under normal conditions, ending our ability to sail for most of the trip. (see photos of how old and weathered the sail was). Ongoing battery and electrical issues required constant engine charging (3–4 times per day), far beyond what we were initially told (1–2 times per day). At one point, we had no lights and could not start the generator, and one engine initially failed to start. Staff replaced a battery with one from their service boat, which did not resolve the issue. The service team that came out was not even aware of all reported issues, indicating poor internal communication. We have video and text documentation supporting these issues, including confirmation that increased battery charging was considered “normal” only after problems arose. While the base team was responsive at times, the overall experience reflects poor maintenance, inconsistent communication, and inadequate resolution for significant equipment failures. We raised these concerns directly and gave the company an opportunity to make it right before posting this review. No apology and no compensation. Given the cost of a charter like this, we expected a safe, functional vessel and a reliable experience. That was not delivered.
