“They charged us undue repair costs from our deposit”
They charged us undue repair costs from our deposit! The boat was in overall good shape but used. We were inside for just 10’ and broke a closet door (must have been already very weakened and used). When giving back the boat they charged us 750€ for the door + some gel coat needed on the vessel hull (which had clearly nothing to do with us). No explanation, no discussion… was really not nice. Besides that the base is good, staff friendly, and Martinique a great island- an amazing experience if forgetting the bitter end

“ Regarding the damaged locker cover”
Thank you for your message. We have reviewed the feedback together with the base and technical team. Regarding the damaged locker cover, the damage was discovered during the handover procedure after the clients’ arrival on board. This element was found broken in two parts. It was not damaged prior to embarkation, otherwise it would not have been left installed on the yacht in such condition. Regarding the hull/keel damages, a diver inspection carried out after the charter confirmed recent impact damages with scratches and exposed metal on the keel area, consistent with a grounding during the charter period. The amount charged corresponds exclusively to the effective repair and replacement costs, including transport and import duties for the replacement part in Martinique. A detailed invoice was provided accordingly. We are naturally sorry that you left with a negative feeling regarding the end of the charter, especially as they otherwise appreciated both the destination and our staff, but we confirm that the charges applied were based on damages effectively identified after the charter.
