Dear friends! Finally, we are all back home:)
We would like to thank all Spring Regatta participants for their great team spirit and efforts they had made to overcome some difficulties that occurred during the race.
This year Spring Cup regatta was held in Greece, beautiful Saronic Gulf. We sailed 180 nautical miles and made 6 navigation and technical races. Start and finish of the regatta was from Athens – Alimos Marina, while during the week we sailed to the most beautiful islands of Hydra, Methana, Poros and Aegina.
Sailing in Greece is somewhat different from what you may expect in most of European countries. Small ports with very limited facilities, no organized marinas, but all these local peculiarities will stay aside if you enjoy great sailing conditions with moderate to strong winds, sunny days, warm sea, cultural heritage and local cuisine.
This year sailing regatta gathered 120 guests, 16 teams and was held on mono-fleet boats – Bavaria 41 (2015-2017 year). All racing teams gained really good sailing experience and showed nice progress during the week!
