We rented a sailing cat (Bali 4.3) out of Biograd. The boat was ok. Sailing was badly maintained as all the lines were tough going. In the middle fresh water failed as the pump was unable to create enough lift to get rid of the vacuum towards the second tank. So we had one day without water and needed to get into port for showering and eating. Also the boat took on water through both front cabin windows. According to the terms and conditions we would have been eligible for a refund for time lost. However they are offering a 5% discount on the next charter. We are talking about 1500€ for the lost day. 5% does not come close. Base operations was good and responsive, but I can not recommend this company in good conscience. Stay clear!

Do I need sailing or boating license for the bareboat charter?
In most of the regions, like the Caribbean, South-East Asia, Oceania, no special sailing documents are needed for the bareboat charter. The only thing you need to provide is your sailing resume, so that the base manager can see if you are qualified enough to rent Hanse 548 - 5 + 1 cab. Sailing yacht in Croatia. Once you get the approval, you are good to go.
