Arrival and welcome at the Base in Cienfuegos. Boarding and accommodation in cabins. Dinner at a restaurant in the city (not included). Night in marina on board of the yacht.

Cayo Guano del Este

Cayo Guano del Este

Early breakfast on board and set up sails to Cayo Guano del Este. During the trip, guests can enjoy sailing and other water sports. Upon the arrival catamaran will anchor in shallow area near coral reefs, great place to enjoy sea life and activities like swimming and snorkeling. Night on the anchor near the cay.

Cayo Sal

Breakfast on board and short passage to Cayo Sal. The island represents extraordinarily beautiful coral reef with abundant sea life with fish of different species and sizes, spiny lobsters and cat sharks - ideal place for snorkeling. The cay has an inner salt-water lagoon that forms a natural salt bed so loved by seagulls, ducks and other sea birds. We will stop on the northern part of the island with a nice anchoring place for the night.

Breakfast on board and passage to Cayo Largo. While sailing you can enjoy sunbathing on the deck or refreshing cocktails. Upon the arrival we recommend to visit Sirena Beach, one of the most beautiful untouched places in the southern coast perfect for sunbathing and snorkeling. After lunch at the beach restaurant take a walk to explore Capricho Beach and Women's Islands with natural swimming pools. In the afternoon we will move to Cayo Largo Marina to spend the night. Here you may visit turtle farm or enjoy the night in local pubs and restaurants

Cayo Iguana

Cayo Iguana

Departure to Cayo Iguana, habitat to a large number of these prehistoric animals.Here you may watch them in their natural environment. This area is quite shallow, so we will take a tender to visit Cayo Hijos de los Ballenatos, a spectacular island with a great variety of fish doing an amazing show around the boat when you feed them. Visit Cayo Rico and explore number of natural canals and wide sand beach. Back to Sirena Beach to spend the night.

Cayo Ingles

Lunch on board while sailing to to Cayo Ingles. This cay offers great opportunity for snorkeling in protected area and exploring colorful coral reef. Second half of the day we will set up sails to Cayo Guano del Este around two-hour trip and spend the night there.

Additional information

Your by the cabin charter in Cuba will be on board of a sailing catamaran. This small but comfortable catamaran can easily take you to the most secluded lagoons and bays.Catamaran can accommodate up to 8 guests in 4 double cabins with private shower and toilet.

Crew

During your sailing vacation in Cuba professional crew of 2: skipper and cook will take care of you and all your needs. Crew is responsible for operating the vessel, sailing, cooking, cleaning, serving meals, drinks and snacks on board. Crew will offer great service and make the trip an unforgettable experience.

Our base is located in Cienfuegos (Cuba) right in front of the main pier. Havana International Airport (Hose Marti) is located 160 miles from the base and taxi trip will take only 2 hours 50 minutes.

Flight

The easiest and fastest way to get to Cuba is direct flight to Havana. There are number of daily international flights operated by Air Canada, British Airways, Air France, Iberia and many others. Charter flights are also available from many European cities:

  • Air Canada from London
  • Condor Airlines from Frankfurt
  • Iberia from Madrid

From Havana to Cienfuegos you can get by:


By plane. (the easiest) Jaime Gonzalez Airport is located 5 km from Cienfuegos and there are several flights from Havana each day.


By car. From Havana to Cienfuegos (distance 256 kilometers), can be reached by car on the national highway and by the road called Aguada de Pasaheros. The transfer cost will be 90 Euro.


By train. The train station is located opposite the bus station, at the corner of Av 58 and Calle 49. From Havana to Cienfuegos is a 10 CUC, 10 hours, train departures once a day.


By bus. The bus station is located on Calle 49 between 56 and 58. The Avs Bus Company Vazul twice a day depart from Havana to Cienfuegos (cost 20 Cuban pesos (CUC), travel time about 5 hours) and Trinidad (6 CUC, 2 hours).

Transfers from the airport to the base are not included. However, we can help to arrange transfer by special request. Please inform us of your requirements at least 2 weeks prior to the first date of your sailing vacation by filling an appropriate form (number of guests, flight number, time and date of arrival).

Housing

If you arrive several days prior to the first date of your sailing vacation, or decide to stay for a few days after, you may find number of hotels in the old town of Rhodes. Please check all the availabilities on: Expedia.com or Hotels.com

Local currency - Cuban peso (CUС).

The export of Cuban convertible pesos (CUC) is strictly prohibited, regardless of the amount.  Travelers may only export the equivalent of $5000 in any currency other than the Cuban convertible peso (CUC).  Anyone wishing to export more than this amount must demonstrate evidence that the currency was acquired legitimately from a Cuban bank.
